Second Post Of The Day

Our parents tell us to be responsible, or we will never reach adulthood. Apparently, coming home at a certain time and doing whatever you are told are large prerequisites for adulthood. Funny, I don't see the “adults” following a curfew, or following orders. (unless they are given by the man holding their paycheck.)

My theory, crazy as it may be, is that “adults” are nothing but teenagers who have an illusion of power. To explain: Lets say that we have two humans, each born and raised in isolation to be exactly the same, personality and intellect wise, but one of them is much bigger. Now, when they are let to interact, what will happen? The bigger human fill feel superior to the smaller human, as is human nature, and the smaller human will feel, in turn, inferior to the smaller human, as is human nature.

You may ask; “how does this have anything to do with the teen/parent Paradox?” (okay, an exaggeration...) and I would say that we (the teens) are the little humans and they (adults) are the big humans. We, or preferably they, just need to learn that size isn't everything. And that power? It is only there because we give it to you.

Well, there is my crazy theory, what do you think? Fantasy, or an inevitable truth...

QUOTE OF THE DAY (AGAIN, BUT DIFFERENT THIS TIME.)
Hey, I'll even use the same theme:

Jesters do oft prove prophets.
~William Shakespeare

Another random thought, turned into a rant by obsession.

We, as humans, live our lives in a series of lines. Point A to Point B. We do this so often that sometimes, (for some, quite often) we forget what those... "goals" as it were, are. Sure, some will read this and and protest "No! Life is not linear! How can you say such a thing?! You deserve death!!!" and promptly hunt me down and kill me, but i never said that they had to be strait lines, did i? Each bend is a bit out of your way you have to go to achieve your goal, And if your goal changes altogether? Like it or not, that is an outcome.

You may be wondering why i am bringing up such a lighthearted, fun and altogether "swell" topic such as this, (ah, sarcasm...) and i guess i could let you know. It is because i hate it. I hate, to be more specific, the realization that this little revelation is undeniably true. See, if you live your life never noticing what has secretly gone wrong with your life, (or to be fair, what has secretly gone right) you can be fine, only consciously recognising your "achievements" and learning from (aka, acknowledging and forgetting) your "failures". (some would say mistakes, but at the rate some make them (i.e. me) you begin to notice how you made them, and Poof! a failure is born. (not literally, of course, for those lacking sex-ed training) Anywho, but if you realize that simple fact, (for those who cant keep up with my train of thought, i am referring to the "idea" of paragraph one.) You begin to notice everything, which, (to put in smart people terms,) sucks. Comment please :)

Oh, and I'm adding a new section to my blog, Quote of the day. Today's is:

"Like looking down on a lubricious chess set, isn't it? The king moves in tiny steps, with no direction, like a drunkard trying to avoid the archer's bolt. The others work their strategies and wait for the old man to fall. He has no power, yet all power moves in his orbit and to his mad whim. Do you know there's no fool piece on the chessboard, Kent?" "Methinks the fool is the player, the mind above the moves."
Christopher Moore (Fool)

The Second Post

So, the second post hmm? I should probably talk about somthing... Ok, lets talk about our desisions in this blighted little world and how they efect us. Sounds fun no? Ok, here is an example. lets say that I meet someone that I like, and that person likes someone else. Now, i can chose to help that person with their potential love intrest, or i can chose  to be a selfish insensitive git and  fight for her. The number of people who do the second is so large, it is almost sad. I doubt any of them think of the conseqinces either... Now, second example. Now, lets say that i see someone getting the living daylight beat out of them by someone twice as big as me. now i can chose to be the hero (albeit a broken and battered one) and atempt to stop said beating, or i can chose to walk away, and face the possibility that the guy just might die. Now the people who chose the second option for this particular category is even more stageringly large than for the first example. Shows how bad we are at thinking about others... or even our selves somtimes.
